Team Building - Activites, Exercises and Games

Team Building Games

Get to know each other by means of Team Building Games, provides a fun beginning for new staff members, and the perfect icebreaker for actual teams, helping to relax social anxieties, at the time that creates mutual understanding and respect.

There is a large array of Team Building Games, including Cocktail Party Games, pretending to meet each other in different scenarios. Others create a human map showing the location of each staff member's home, the story of a name, getting an employee investigating about the origin of the name belonging to his/her co-worker, and many others service as icebreakers.

Some other Team Building Games involve different activities, with different goals in mine, such as the following:

Wink

An energizing ten-minute group activity, adding physical exercise, suspense and fun, getting team members acting as runners, catchers, and a winker.

Ha-Ha

This game makes everyone stay connected by placing his/her head on each other's tummy, so that the first person says "Ha", an the second person says "Ha-ha" and so on, with the goal to create a genuine team laughing.

Chair Game

Among Team Building Games, this is a hilarious classic engaging both, physical and strategic group participation. The setting is a tight circle of chairs, with one person standing in middle, leaving a vacant chair. Then the person in the middle tries to sit in the "vacant chair" but all staff has to switch into the vacant chair, making the gap move.

Circle Dance

This game is a circle, at which everybody swaps to opposite side, returning to old place backwards, and going to the opposite side blind.

Group Paper, Scissors, and Rock

This is game consisting of a two lines playing Paper, Scissors, and Rock. If a team member wins, he/she moves up line, but if they lose, swaps into the opposite line, keeping the line moving

Vampires

Some Team Building Games, like this are fun. Everyone is blind and normal, making a sound each time they meet each other, but one member will be a vampire and, if a person meets the vampire, he will become a vampire. If two vampires meet, the will become normal. Vampires are chosen by a team leader and shall not speak during the game.

1-2-3 Game

Playing in pairs, staff face to face alternate counting 1, 2, 3 but replacing each turn with a clap for 1, clapping legs for 2, and jumping at the count of 3.

Dragons

This game is for team groups with at least 5 to 8 players, and the ending one having a scarf like a dragon's tail. The member at the head of the dragon has to catch the tail of another dragon to win.

There are many other Team Building Games, including Mini-Chasey, Wobbly Broomstick, Giants, Wizards and Elves, Multi-Way Tug-of-War, Hobby by Pantomime, Trains, Fox and Hunter, 3-way Thumb Wrestle and more.
